The photograph that appeared in last week’s sports pages of the MOUNTAINEER, featuring the Black Diamond District Track meet, inadvertently listed the Honaker High School runner as Jeremy Richardson. This was incorrect. The runner is Honaker senior Matt Hale. We apologize for the error.

“We’ve hit the ball well all year. We’re finally starting put it all together hitting, pitching and playing defense in the same game and when you do that, good things happen.”
Smith singled four times, doubled and drove in two runs. Ethan Prater went 3-5 with three RBIs, while St. Clair and Corey Hicks each had two hits. Hicks drove 1-0 fastball onto the Council High School roof for a solo home run in the fourth.
