Taken in the 1040s, several descendants of the late Sylvester and Martha Rife, gather to capture  a pleasant moment in time. From left, Nelton Rife (deceased); sister, Watie (Rife) Keen (deceased); cousin, Patty (Rife) Nicholas of Newport News; Ellis Rife, of Clay, Ky., seated; Hobert Keen (deceased), back, Gerri (Keen) Morgan of Burton, Mich.; Bill Rife (deceased); James L. Keen, of Vansant; and Arthur Rife (deceased). Hobert is the father of James and Gerri. Watie is their mother and Patty is their cousin.
