On Slate Creek in the early 1920s, Old Regular Baptist Preacher Elder Taylor Blankenship, of the Knox Creek area, and Whitten and Jane (Day) Osborne are pictured here with Whitten's sisters Lillie Honaker, Margaret Ward and Martilla Keen. Whitten's other siblings not pictured include Rosa Keen and Sam, Noah and Artemus Osborne, all deceased. They were all natives of Buchanan County and their families continue to reside in the area.
