CLAUDE HALE, left and his brother, Willie, were photographed together at a family cemetery meeting in the mid-1950s. The other two people pictured in the photo are not known. Claude was a preacher and lived at Honaker and Willie was a coal miner, who lived at Oakwood. Both were the sons of Marion and Susanna Hale and were the brothers of Vertie Dye. While both Claude and Willie are now deceased, Vertie is 93 and resides in the Manassas area. The photo was submitted by Willie's daughter, Maxine Perry, of Vansant.
