Preachers A.J. Wolford and John Hensley, left to right, are pictured here baptising an unknown couple in the Dismal River in the early 1940s. Hensley, who was a good friend of Wolford, was from the Hurley area. Wolford divided his services between the Big Branch Church of Christ and the Big Rock Church for several years. Both are deceased.
